Expectations: Design, Technical, and Compliance Interim

As outlined at the outset of this term, you are all expected to be able to not only propose an initial attempt at an architectural thesis, but also present an architecturally robust work that is aesthetically, technically, and theoretically appropriate. Given the strength of Ryerson University's Architectural Science undergraduate program, it would be expected that the graduate students exceed the performance of the undergraduate students.

Here is a sample of a wall section generated from students in the 2nd year UNDERGRADUATE studio in 2013 from the Second Year Studio blog.
For other precedents, you may look to Atelier Bow-Wow or even variations found in Detail. Those of you who do not have familiarity with the Canadian construction and practice should at the very least attempt to get the work done in a general way for the upcoming deadline and follow-up with the instructors to get the appropriate feedback on how to fix things.

It should also be pointed out that similar to the ordering of this graduate studio, the second years fro the studio blog were at interim and produced content such as the following from their milestone at the same time in the term (mid March):

Gary's Interim

Ariel's Interim

Ailsa's Interim

Demitri's Interim

Kate's Interim
